JESS

I started diving in 1998 while on holiday in India. On returning back to the UK I enrolled on to the Open water course at the Oxford Dive Centre. I continued with the courses and eventually became an instructor.

4 years later and I joined forces with Kim and we bought the Oxford Dive Centre from the previous owner. It has to be the best move that I have ever made. We have got a great bunch working here, all of whom we are indebted to.  I can actually say that I enjoy coming to work. Not sure how many other people can say that.

KIM

I’ve been diving for many years now and enjoy it more now than when first starting.  It’s a sport that’s always evolving and no two dives are ever the same.  There’s the challenge and reward of teaching or the difference between a night dive compared to a drift dive.  The more you learn the more you realise there is to learn which makes it fascinating.

It’s a sport where you continually meet people from different walks of life and it’s refreshing that it holds no barriers. I’m also an avid fan of UK diving.  I love travelling and diving in exotic locations around the world but still think UK diving has much to offer.

After living and working in places abroad I truly believe if you want to be safe and enjoy learning to dive you couldn’t find a friendlier place than O.D.C.

KEITH

I’ve always been interested in the underwater world, so in 2003 I came to the Oxford Dive Centre to do my Open Water Course.  I am now an Assistant Instructor.

I enjoy working with students, especially seeing their faces the first time they are underwater.

I mainly dive in the UK and enjoy diving at the South Coast, with odd trip to the Red Sea.

JOHN

After doing a Try-Dive in Turkey in 1998, I signed up for the Open Water course in 2000, continued through the courses and became an instructor in 2005.

I have travelled to some amazing places in pursuit of the next diving adventure, seen some wonderful things and met some great people.

I thoroughly look forward to a weekend of diving with ODC, whether I am teaching, doing a new course (yes, there’s always more to learn) or just diving. It’s a great social activity, where you meet people from all backgrounds and we always ensure we have fun. It’s very different from what I do through the week and I think it’s a far more interesting and exciting weekend than most people have!

Whether you’re new to diving or an experienced diver, I don’t think you will find a more welcoming, helpful and enthusiastic crowd than here at ODC.

DAZZA

I first did a Try-Dive in Malta whilst on holiday in 2002.  I was hooked, the next year I came to the Oxford Dive Centre and signed up for my Open Water course.  I am now a Divemaster and one of the main jokers here at ODC.

I love assisting with courses and interacting with students and all divers.  I enjoy diving at Stoney Cove and at the South Coast.  I’ve also dived in the Red Sea and Lanzarote.

EMILY

Despite being told I couldn’t dive because I am diabetic I managed to get the go ahead and am now an Assistant Intsructor.

I have been diving since 2003 and have been to many different locations around the world including Thailand, Belize and the Red Sea.

Out of all the different places around the world I love the diving in U.K. waters, the challenges are different and so rewarding I wouldn’t change anything.

BANJO

I first discovered diving when I did a few try dives on holiday in Australia in 2004, and soon went on to do my open water course here at ODC.

The staff here have brought me through my entire diving career and I’ve loved every second of it; not just being under water but the whole atmosphere of the dive centre. Although I’d previously been working as a shop assistant in the dive centre I’ve just started my dive master, and am beginning to discover a whole new level to diving.

Hopefully diving will feature a long way in to the future for me, and at the moment I’m looking forward to experiencing the different types of diving that the world has to offer.

MARCUS

I first discovered diving when I did a try dive on holiday in Cyprus in 2000, and soon went on to do my open water course here at ODC.

I have done most of my training here at ODC and can say that it is a relaxed and enjoyable place to learn to dive. I enjoy UK diving as much as diving around the world. I still have not lost the bug for diving and can even be seen on the south coast on days most people would not bother with !! My interests also extend to the techincal side of diving and I also have a TDI Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures qualification.

I have been diving for many years and enjoy every dive as each dive is a new experience. No two dives are ever the same.

I love diving in various places around the world from the UK to the more exotic locations. Each brings new experiences and knowledge.

I have been with ODC since 2002 and have enjoyed the friendly atmosphere, and have had a great time diving with everyone

STEPH

I first tried diving in 2001 when on holiday in turkey and really enjoyed it, but didn't know of anywhere in the UK where I could learn.

In 2006 I moved to Oxford and found the Oxford Dive Dentre. I did my open water course in March and was a little apprehensive about diving in cold water.

As it turns out I absolutely loved it and couldn't wait to get in to do my second dive. I've also enjoyed a few trips to the Red Sea and can't wait for my next one.

I started diving in 1996 while travelling around Australia and then only dived on holiday.

In 2004 I came to the Oxford Dive Centre and completed my Divemaster.  I now enjoy diving in the U.K. from wrecks on the South Coast to seals in the Farne Islands.

I am now completing my A.I. Course
