PADI Divemaster

The PADI Divemaster certification is the first step on the PADI Professional ladder, and the course is great fun! PADI Divemasters are often the first port of call when scuba divers require advice or assistance, and working within the scuba diving industry as a PADI Divemaster you get to share your love of diving with many others.

Pre-requisites

  • 18 years of age
  • PADI Rescue Diver
  • Hold a current Emergency First Responder certification
  • PADI Medical Statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months
  • Minimum of 40 logged dives to begin the course, and 60 dives to earn the certification

What can I expect?

On the PADI Divemaster course you will work closely with your PADI Instructor to fine-tune your skills, and to develop your problem solving abilities both in and out of the water. The course itself covers a wide range of theory, confined water, open water and speciality course training, and you will get plenty of hands-on experience in each of these areas before you gain your certification. At the Oxford Dive Centre we will ensure that you acquire all of the skills required to assist scuba divers in any situation – from choosing and fitting their first scuba mask, to building their confidence with confined water skills, to enabling them to improve their buoyancy in open water, to helping them complete their logbooks and necessary paperwork for their certification, to advising on the best equipment to buy or hire – and everything else in between! The PADI Divemaster course is stimulating, exhilarating, exhausting and most importantly great fun! If you think you would like to give it a try, pop in or call us to discuss your next steps.
